Leading Parent Partnership Award
At Stepping Stones, we want to ensure we are working effectively with our parents and carers, and developing and enhancing your involvement in school life. We are working towards applying for the nationally recognised Leading Parent Partnership Award (LPPA) which will provide us with a coherent framework to deliver effective parental engagement and strengthen our link with you all.
Some of the main areas we have addressed so far are:
- Seeking feedback from parents on a range of areas within school to help us improve the quality our admissions process, parental workshops and home-school communication.
- Encouraging general feedback and suggestions from parents – partnering together to improve and develop Stepping Stones School.
- Encouraging parental involvement in school events and your child’s learning.
- Developing the ‘Parents’ area of the website – making information more readily available to those who are less able to get involved in school life due to barriers they may face such as distance, travel, work etc.
We are continuing to develop other areas within the school that will help us in improving our partnership with you all, and we will be providing you with further updates. If you would like to get involved or provide us with any feedback or suggestions relative to this award, don’t hesitate to get in touch with Katherine, or drop us a note using the Parent Communication Boxes at both Tower Road and Undershaw sites.
